What Happens During a One-to-One Running Call?

What Happens During a One-to-One Running Call?

Forty-five minutes. One real problem. A clear week you can actually follow.

This is not a motivational speech

A one-to-one running call is a working session.

We look at what you are doing, what keeps going wrong and what you can realistically change next.

The goal is clarity.

You should leave knowing what to do, why it matters and what to change when life happens.

Before the call

You complete a short questionnaire at least one day before the meeting.

The useful questions are practical:

  • How many days can you actually train?
  • What has your running looked like during the last four weeks?
  • What is your longest recent run?
  • What goal or race matters now?
  • What normally stops you from following a plan?
  • Are there current pains, previous injuries or health concerns?
  • What do sleep, stress, routes and climate look like?

Garmin or Strava data can help, but you do not need perfect data to have a useful conversation.

What we may discover

Every run is too hard

The plan needs protected easy running, not more motivation.

The week has no structure

Hard sessions collide, the long run moves randomly and recovery disappears.

The goal is ahead of the base

The next block should build consistency before adding race-specific pressure.

The plan ignores real life

Training days need to move around work, family, travel and Thailand heat.

What you receive after the call

You receive a short written summary with the key decisions.

  • Your main training problem in simple language.
  • A suggested weekly structure.
  • Up to three concrete actions.
  • Clear effort guidance.
  • Rules for adjusting when recovery, pain, heat or life changes.

The call is not medical treatment, injury rehabilitation or a guarantee of results. Current or complex pain should be assessed by an appropriate health professional.

Who the call is for

It is designed for beginners, everyday runners and runners over 35 who want a realistic direction.

It is especially useful when you keep repeating the same bad week, do not understand your Garmin data or cannot make a standard plan fit your life.
